Our prayers go out to the Dorris family, I would like to express our condolences at this time to your family, I have found the bible to be a source of encouragement; the scripture I would like to share with you is from Revelation 21: 4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Mrs. D, Joyce, Lisa, John and kids,
No words can really express the sadness we are feeling here on Kendale Blvd. Not only was Mr. D a favorite family "tool", but he was one of Dad's two closest friends. Now we mourn the loss of all three. Denny's, Chuckwagon, and numerous other eating establishments as well as all sporting venues will miss these great men.
On a more serious note, losing Mr. D. is like losing Dad all over again and I feel your sadness and loss. You are, and have always been, our extended family, and although you have moved away, you will always have a home here.
Much love and support,
Jenny

My former boss, and one of the best. Braniard was a lovely person to know and work with. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Brainard was my training officer when I was first hired by the department. His leadership and training abilities provided a solid foundation, which not only impacted my career but stayed with me throughout my life. He was well respected and admired by many including myself. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Tom and Debbie

My condolences go out to the Dorris family. I worked for Chief Dorris starting in 1985 as a rookie firefighter and found him to be consistently fair and professional with everyone. The Miami Beach Fire Department is a better organization because of his influence during his time there.

My deepest condolences and sympathy to the Dorris family. I had the pleasure of serving under Chief Dorris from 1980 until he retired. He was a fair and honest man who inspired the best from all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Gail I was sorry to hear about Braniard passing. I have many fond memories of going to UM baseball games and days spent on the bay boating with him. He will be missed.
