Mr. Maurice Edwin Martin, Sr., age 72, of Cumming, passed away Sunday, October 04, 2009. Mr. Martin was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Bealer and Geneva Martin. Survivors include his wife of 54 years Margaret Martin of Cumming; children Lynn and Nelson Scarborough of Andover, Mass., Dr. Eddie and Dr. Angie Martin of Dawsonville, Brett and Joy Martin of Cumming, and Bradley and Dennia Martin of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law Ralph and Mildred Martin of Cumming, Lyndon and Annette Martin of Cumming, Dr. Roger and Vickie Martin of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law Nancy and Mike Eason of Cumming, Helen and Steve Shadburn of Cumming and Susan and Perry Tallant of Cumming; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Bernice Mills and Preston and Betty Martin of Cumming; 9 grandchildren Megan, Oliver, Patrick, Edwin, Emily, Kale, Kade, Kailyn and Rhiannon; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 6th at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Eddie Martin, Rev. Tim Holland and Rev. Tim Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until hour of service. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
