Allen Lang Moss, Sr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Allen Lang Moss, Sr. announces his passing on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the age of 83.

Allen will be lovingly remembered by his children, Lang (Peggy), Ken, and Cindy and his five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Allen was born in Amityiville, New York, but grew up in Columbus, Georgia where he attended Columbus High School and met the love of his life, Diann Cartledge. They lived in Maryland, Arkansas, Ohio, and settled in Georgia. Later Allen and Diann retired to Hilton Head, South Carolina where they built their beautiful dream home on the water. Allen was a member of the Atlanta Power Squadron and later served as Commander in 1989. He also was a member of Hilton Head Planation Yacht Club and was the Commodore in 2002. They enjoyed their life of boating and socializing with friends until the passing of Diann in 2014.

A gathering for a celebration of Allen's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Byars Funeral Home, 155 Professional Park Drive, Cumming, GA 30040.

He will be sorely missed but, fondly remembered by his family and friends that were lucky to have known him.
