Alma Jean Wills “Jeannie” of Cumming, GA. passed away July 23, 2024. She spent her last year at Cherokee Nursing Home in Canton, GA.

Jeannie was born May 7, 1944 in Fulton County. Her parents were Willie Margene Grogan Wills and Wesley O. Wills. She is survived by a brother, Wesley O. Wills, Jr. (Butch), and his wife, Gail Jean Wills, and their 2 sons, Kevin W. Wills and Blake C. Wills, her cousins, Anne Wills, Jane Benson Bothwell, Alisha Powell, Dennis Wills, Mary Wallace, Don Wills and Lorraine Hathaway.

Jeannie lived a simple life - she made friends easily, loved to paint and draw, take pictures, and loved cats. She liked to talk to her family on the phone and send cards. She liked to read mystery novels and watch tv. She had a childlike attitude about life and loved simple events and occasions and friends and neighbors.

A small memorial service for close family and friends will be held in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, July 27, at 3:00 p.m. Jeannie will be interred beside her parents at Cumming Cemetery in a graveside service at a later date.

The family is requesting memorial donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, (www.stjude.org).
