Amos Elzey

Amos Elzey passed away on the morning of March 20th, 2025, at 86 years old. Amos was born on July 12th, 1938, in Cumming, Georgia to Ivan Elzey and Equilla Smith. He is predeceased by both of his parents. Amos was a dedicated member of Friendship Baptist Church and is remembered for his love of hunting and talent for storytelling.

Mr. Elzey is survived by his wife, Mae Avery Elzey; children Joe and Diane Avery, Lynn Elzey and Mickey and Greta Elzey; brothers, Jerry and Nell Elzey and Bruce Elzey, along with a number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his good friend and co-worker Steve Banks.

Funeral services for Mr. Elzey will be held at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Cumming, Georgia. The family of Amos Elzey will be accepting visitors on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM and once again on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
