Andy Barnard

Andy Barnard, 74, died in hospice care Monday, 24th of October, 2016 after a long battle with prostate cancer. Andy is survived by his wife Phyllis of 48 years, sons, George (Mi Jee) and Jon (Meg) and grandsons, William and Aidan. Andy was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. He always put his family first. Andy was born in Milwaukee, WI, grew up in Great Falls, MT and graduated Montana State University in 1962. He worked as a mechanical engineer at Pratt and Whitney for 42 years. He served as Chairman of the Central Connecticut Youth Hockey Association, President of the Ocean Dunes Condominium Association and as a committee member of the Kure Beach re-nourishment committee. Funeral services for Andy will be at St. Columba's Episcopal Church on Saturday, 29th of October at 2:00 pm. Andy's ashes will be laid to rest at the St. Columba's Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the St. Columba's Memorial Garden fund at St. Columba's Episcopal Church, 939 James Burgess Road, Suwanee, Georgia 30024.
