The family of Angela Matarrese announce her passing, but take great comfort in knowing that she is reunited with the love of her life, Frank, who preceded her in passing on May 2, 2011.

Angela, born July 17, 1930, raised in Passaic, New Jersey, was the 1st of three children. Angela and Frank (Snookie and Stinky) were wed on May 21, 1950 and shared 61 passionate years together, while raising four children. Angela was a "stay-at-home-mom" until the youngest children reached their high-school years. She then went on to re-enter the workforce and achieved success managing a catalog store for J.C. Penny. In 1997, she and Frank moved to Georgia to be with their grandchildren. Angela is survived by her children; Patricia (Patty), Patrick (Randy), Fredrick (Rick) and Pamela; her daughters-in-laws, Suzanne and Michelle; her son-in-law, David Wald; her grandchildren Kristina, Caroline, Michael, Alli, Melissa and Nicole; her sister Winnie and her brother-in-law Carmen Samborgna; her sister-in-law Marilyn Matarrese and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close loving friends. A viewing will be held Thursday August 24, 2017, from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Byars Funeral Home located at 155 Professional Park Dr., Cumming, Georgia. Celebratory Mass will be held Friday, August 25, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Benedict's Catholic Church located at 11045 Parson Rd, John's Creek, Georgia. Burial Service will be held following the Celebratory Mass on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at The Georgia National Cemetery located at 101 Scott Hudgens Dr., Canton, Georgia.
