Angela M. Pirolo Obituary - 24 July 2013

Angela M. Pirolo age 82, of West Haven, Connecticut; Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother, died on July 18, 2013 at 5:20 AM EST at Chestnut Ridge Nursing Home in Cumming, Georgia. She passed away from complications after suffering a massive stroke at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 19, 2013.
She was born on April 18, 1931 to Maria Cuomo and Michele Riverson, also of West Haven.

Angela graduated from West Haven High School in 1948 and spent over 50 successful years in the retail clothing and furniture business with industry leaders like Haverty's Furniture of Atlanta and Kane's Furniture of Florida. Angela married the love of her life, Anthony Pirolo, on June 18, 1952 in New Haven, Connecticut.

They remained married for 23 years until his untimely death from cancer at age 45 in 1975. She was and avid sports enthusiast who loved the New York Yankess and new York Giants, even as she spent the last 15 years of her life in the Tampa Bay Area.

She is survived by her son Michael A. Pirolo; grandson Christopher M. Pirolo and Daughter-in-law Karen B. Pirolo, all currently of Alpharetta, Georgia. She will also be deeply missed by her many close friends and co-workers in Connecticut and Florida.

Angela was a fighter to the end, on who lived life to the fullest every day with immense passion and counted every breath as a blessing from the Almighty. A private memorial service and burial will be held at Mountainview Cemetery in New Fairfield, Connecticut.
