Anita Reiss

Anita Reiss passed away peacefully Saturday night, September 10, at age 97, after a long and lovely life. She will be missed by her three daughters and their families: Donna Reiss and Art Young, Nechama Reizl and Richard Topper, and Nancy Thrower and Jerry Brier, and eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Her husband, Henry, passed away in 1990. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Anita had five sisters. She worked as a model for a furrier when she was a young woman and then as a bookkeeper until her retirement. An avid reader, she was a whiz at Scrabble and crossword puzzles well into her nineties. Over the years she lived and had friends in southern Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. Memorial services will be private. Memorial donations may be sent to a charity of your choice.
