Ann Durham, a cherished and devoted member of her family and community, passed away peacefully at her residence on October 4, 2024, at the age of 83. Born in Alpharetta on February 28, 1941, Ann's warm and caring nature was evident throughout her life. As an accomplished office manager for Control Southern, Inc., an engineering company, she showcased her remarkable dedication and strength, yet her greatest pride remained in her family.
Ann's life was a testament to love, devotion, and creativity. She was a multi-talented individual with a profound passion for photography, collecting depression glass, scrapbooking, silversmithing, crocheting, and cooking. Her talents knew no bounds, and she always put her heart and soul into every endeavor, continually enriching the lives of those around her.
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Harold Cobb and Bobby Joe Cobb
With her husband Ray C. Durham by her side for an incredible 65 years, Ann cultivated a loving household that thrived on the joy of family. She is survived by their children and their spouses: Marty (Peggy) Durham, Derek (Sheila) Durham, Holly Charles, and Tobie (Lanear) White, grandchildren; Amanda McClure (Ben), Jessica Parra (Rey), Sarah Mobley (Brad), Hailey Charles, Mason Charles, Whitney Newberry, Tyler White (Melissa) and Taylor White (Elizabeth) as well as 9 great great grandchildren also survive Ann's legacy also lives on through her grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly, and her many adventures traveling the world and attending blue grass concerts throughout the southeastern United States.
Ann will be remembered not only for her many hobbies and interests but also for her ability to put others' needs before her own and her unwavering love for life and family. She inspired many with her gentle spirit, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her family and friends invite you to pay your respects during the visitation services at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040, on October 7, 8, and 9, 2024. The visitation will take place from 4 PM to 9 PM on both October 7 and October 8, followed by another visitation from 12 PM to 1:45 PM on October 9. A funeral service will follow the final visitation, beginning at 2 PM with Rev. Jackie Stewart and Rev. Bud Sutton officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Alpharetta.
As we celebrate her life, let us remember the warmth she brought to our lives and the legacy of love she leaves behind, she will be missed by all who knew Ann
