Ms. Ann Everett Pate Livingston, 87, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Cordele, GA, died on May 10, 2022, in Cumming, GA. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18. Visitation for friends and family will be prior to the funeral, from 10:30–11:30, at Ingram’s Funeral Home in Cumming GA, and the funeral service will be held at John’s Creek Baptist Church in Cumming GA, at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Cordele, GA, at 4:30.
Ms. Livingston was born on August 10, 1934, in Cordele, GA, to the late Herman Felton Everett and Virginia Cash Everett. Ms. Livingston lived in Cumming, GA, since 2007and was a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church. She was very active in her close women’s group, “Women in Transition” (WIT), at JCBC, and has many close and dear friends there. Graduating Valedictorian from Cordele High School in Cordele, GA; she attended two years at Shorter College. She was married to John S. Pate, Jr. for many years in Cordele, then to Ralph Livingston for several years. She was a very talented artist, decorator, landscaper and writer. She was an avid study of Shakespeare and a member of the Thalian Society. She served for many years on the GA Silver Haired Legislature and the Middle Flint Council on Aging. She enjoyed writing and sending a Sunday School class newsletter each week. She was a retired decorator and prior owner of Inside-Out Decorating Company. Although retired, she still loved using her talents to help decorate and landscape the homes of friends and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and entertaining. Her love of and lifelong selfless and sacrificial service to her family and friends are an enduring legacy and example to others.
Ann’s survivors include her sons: Steve Pate (wife, Bobbie) of Cumming, GA, and Jim Pate (wife, Laurie) of Lenoir, NC; grandchildren: James Pate (wife, Maleeha), Amelia Pate, Emily Pate Kiefer (husband, Matt) and Jeremy Pate (wife,Layla); two great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren and spouses, and 10 step great-grandchildren; Sister, Jean Brooks; Sister in-law, Janice Everett, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Livingston was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Everett. She will be missed and always loved by those who knew her.
