Ann Stanback Clark Maholick was born December 27, 1922 and deceased December 15, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Leonard Thomas Maholick and son, Robert George Maholick. Ann, daughter of Lura Steel Stanback Clark and Alexander Bayard Clark was born in Byhalia, Mississippi.
Ann Was Married to Leonard Thomas Maholick, the love of her life for 58 years. She was strong, resilient, creative and frugal, characteristics that served her well while raising five children in Columbus, GA. She possessed many talents, most notably, art, music and gardening. Ann was awarded an art scholarship to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D C.; she performed in choruses during her school years, and later as an adult. She honed her artistic skills by attending art classes and clinics, and participated in juried art shows. Her artistic talents followed her into her garden where she created sculptures to enhance the gardens beauty. Ann continued to paint through her 95th year.
Ann possessed a strong sense of family which extended to researching her family tree; maintained close ties to all of her family, both nuclear and extended, until the end of her days. She was thankful to be blessed with a long and meaningful life and a close-knit family.
She is survived by her children: Leonard Thomas Maholick, Jr., Camille Maholick Marcum, Regina Bayard Maholick, Kathleen Maholick Hill; grandchildren: Justin Travis Hill, Kimberly Kathleen Hill-Covalli, Benjamin Alexander Hill, James Thomas Maholick, Mark David Maholick, Robert Allen Maholick, Christopher Scott Maholick, Jennifer Maholick Austin and great grandchildren: James Thomas Maholick,II, John William Maholick, Matthew David Maholick, Madeline Grace Maholick, Madielyn Elizabeth Diestler, Brooklyn Helena Diestler, Kaitlyn Ann Diestler, Erica Francine Rath, Jacob Allen Maholick, Justin, Travis Hill, Jr., Danielle Lacey Jade Hill and Madison Nicole Paige Wallace
Ann Maholicks memorial service will be held at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA at 12:00 pm on January 9, 2020. A reception will be held following the service at Tams Backstage located across the street from Ingram Funeral Home.
