Anne Walker

Anne Walker, 82, of Alpharetta, GA went to her eternal home in Heaven on November 6, 2021 after her hard fight with congestive heart failure. Even though her failing heart took her away from this world, her loving heart has left a beacon of light for everyone that knew her. She was a true blessing to all who had the honor being a part of her life and always had a smile on her face.

She is preceded in death by her son James Aaron Walker of Cumming, her parents James Ralph and Claudie Smith of Winder; three sisters, Hazel Weldon(JH), Rachel Stephens(Robert) and Carol Mabry(Bill) of Winder; two brothers James (Jimmy) Ralph Smith Jr. and William Allen Smith.

Anne is survived by her loving husband Robert J. Walker, married for 60 years last Christmas Day. Also survived by daughter Anita Walls and son in-law Larry Walls of Rome; Granddaughter Tabitha Thomson (fiancé Adam Sheeter) of Suwanee; great granddaughter Brooke Thomson; sister Helen Doyle of California; several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends whom she loved dearly.

She was a long time member of County Line Baptist Church and Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. She loved the Lord and her strong faith carried her through life. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and was always on the go. She especially loved playing with her great granddaughter Brooke. Brooke was the light of her life as "her girl."

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Ingram's Funeral Home Chapel in Cumming, with Reverend Ray Gober officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandy Springs United Methodist Historic Cemetery at 86 Mt. Vernon Highway, Atlanta, GA 30328 at 1 p.m. Parking is to be down at the lower lot.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 and at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Anne's nephews Roy Weldon and Jeff Stephens.
