Anne Paulk Walsh Zappia passed away peacefully on March 17, 2017 at the age of 92. She was born in Cairo, Georgia on November 5, 1924.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lannis and Sadie Paulk, Lt. Norman H. Walsh, and John Adam Zappia.
Anne was a retired real estate agent. She leaves behind a sister, Mary Lynn Elder of Charlotte, N.C., a son Norman Walsh, his wife Judy of Cairo, Ga. Michael Zappia and his late wife Barbara, of Griffin, Ga. Vincent and Nancy Zappia of Suwanee, Ga., Lannis Zapia of Duluth, Ga. Martha Zappia-Long and her husband Gary, of Dahlonega, Ga. 5 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Mama loved to travel in her motor home and did so up until 6 years ago. She loved nature, wildflowers, animals, making quits and wall hangings. She had a passion for reading and handmade pottery. Mama was extremely independent, loved her children unconditionally, and passed peacefully at Martha and Gary's home surrounded by loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your local library, humane society, or River Keepers of Georgia.
A Celebration of Life will be held a later date. She will be greatly missed. We love you Mama and we will miss your smile.
