Shelia is proceeded in death by her parents Quentice Collett and Anthony Peragine.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randall Thaxton; son, Shaun Peragine and daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Crowe,. Three grandchildren Logan Moore, Cody Crowe and Riley Crowe. Five brothers and sisters, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
