Artie Heard Hammond

Artie Heard Hammond, age 92, of Cumming, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017. She was born to the late, Jeff and Lillie Heard on June 1, 1925. Artie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Hammond; son, Thomas Hammond; siblings, Mildred Bottoms, Bud Heard, Dean Corn, Roy Heard, Kate Corn and Bobbie Stripland.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Delores (Bobby) Shadburn, Dianne (Charles) Cantrell, and June Hammond; daughter-in-law, Candy Hammond; brother, Hugh Heard; grandchildren, Penny (Ken) McCall, Michael (Gail) Cantrell, Jimmy (Lacy) Shadburn, Jeffery (Michelle) Hammond, Julie (Keith) Bentley, Jason (Samantha) Hammond, Kelli (Tim) Hawkins, Jennifer Funderburk, and Jaymi Sefzik; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hammond will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Bennet and Rev. Richard Sefzik, III officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
