Audrey "Faye" Van Winkle

Audrey "Faye" Van Winkle, age 85, of Cumming passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. Faye was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being the "Neighborhood Mom," spending time at the ball fields as a Team Mom and occasionally even playing a game or two of softball. Faye enjoyed making quilts and sewing. One of her specialties was making all of the kids Halloween costumes. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Elaine and Michael W. McClain of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, David and Vicki Van Winkle of Cumming; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Geri McClain; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Charles and Phyllis Whitten of Chicago, IL, Sonny and Vanda Whitten of Dayton, OH; sisters, Judy Mullins and Betty Jo Hood; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Whitten officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
