Barbara Ann Arner

Barbara A. Arner, 80 passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Atlanta Hospice in Atlanta, Georgia. She was one of 5 children born to Alvin and Constance (Munger) Zollars on
September 26, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio. She was a graduate of Libbey High School and attended the University of Toledo. She married in 1955 and had 4 children. She worked for Owens Illinois in Toledo and was a member and Sunday School teacher at St Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio. In 1980 she relocated to Atlanta Georgia and worked for Travel Horizons and Retirement Plan Administers (RPA) until she retired.

Barbara always had a smile and a positive outlook on life, no matter what the adversity. She had a great love for Nature and all of her bounties. She especially loved the bluebirds and fed them daily, sometimes right from her hand. Barbara was adored and admired by her many friends and family.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Sherry Seiler, of Toledo, Ohio, brothers, Thomas (Margaret) Zollars, of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Richard Zollars, of Palm Springs, California, her 4 children, Kimberlee, William, Kathleen, Matthew (Jason), her grandchild Sarah (Chad) Schneider, and her great grandchild, Hayden James Schneider, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Constance Zollars, her brother Al, and her very special partner of 30+ years, Roger Blichfeldt.

A short outdoor memorial service and reception will be held in Barbaras honor at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell, Georgia Friday March, 22nd at 6:00 pm. Please wear sensible shoes.
