Barbara Ann Litterer, 81, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on October 30, 2018 following a short illness. She was born on April 20, 1937 in Youngstown, Ohio to Lora Kuehn Rosselott and Floyd Jacob Rosselott.
Her family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where Barbara spent all of her childhood. She attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated in 1959. She taught elementary school in Cincinnati, OH, Arlington, VA and Bloominton, Minnesota.
Barbara met her husband, Tom, in Cincinnati and they married in 1961. During their almost 57 years of marriage they lived in Ohio, Virginia, Texas, Minnesota, South Carolina, Florida and most recently moved to Cumming, GA in 2011.
Barbara was an avid gardener and was active in garden clubs as a member and officer everywhere they lived- most recently the Cumming Garden Club. She was a master gardener and took great pride in her own private garden where she worked daily. Barbara also enjoyed walking outdoors and maintained her morning 2 mile walk until shortly before her passing. She also enjoyed spending time with her many neighborhood friends with whom she played weekly bridge.
Barbara is predeceased by her elder son, Eric J. Litterer of Lake In The Hills, Illinois. She is survived by her husband, Tom, son, Mark T. Litterer of Alpharetta, GA, his wife Beth and their children Mark Jr. and Madeline as well as Erics wife, Laura and their daughters Morgan and Lindsey. She is also survived by her younger sister Roberta and her husband Bob of Gainesville, GA.
No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to remember Barbara is encouraged to donate to the National Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation in honor and memory of her son, Eric.
