Barbara Simpson Bristow passed away on January 14, 2022. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina - the only child of Ruby Thornlow Simpson and Harry Albert Simpson, and graduated from Greensboro Senior High School. After high school graduation, she attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she received a Commercial Certificate from the Bryan Business School. She worked at Carolina Steel Corporation until she married Giles Bristow, her husband of 62 years, and moved to Greenbelt, Maryland, while he was stationed in the U. S. Army.
After raising three sons, she moved to Cumming, Georgia. She worked as a Legal Secretary for 30 years at Wood & Perry, Attorneys at Law, first for Jere Wood and then for Richard P. Perry.
She belonged to Cumming United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Circle of Friends Sunday School Class.
Barbara enjoyed china painting, crafts, sewing and traveling. But most of all, she loved the Lord and enjoyed her church and family.
Surviving are her sons, Brad (Rosy Geist), Brian (Leah) and Brent (Nancy), seven grandchildren, Ryann and Chaz Murray, Lily Bristow, Natalie Bristow, Autumn Bristow, Nick Bristow, Elise Tallent and Timothy Bristow.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Halcyon Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
