Barbara Hammond Milford

Barbara Hammond Milford, age 70 of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cumming. She came to faith in Jesus Christ as a teenager. Barbara loved the Lord and cherished her husband Cloys of 52 years, her children, grandchildren and beloved shitzu Rosey. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and always had a smile and words of encouragement for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertie Levi and Eldie Rene Hammond; brothers and sisters, Hugh Hammond, Cleburne Hammond, Vileeze Butterworth, Patricia Francis, Steve Hammond and Robert Hammond. Survivors include her husband, James Cloys Milford of Cumming; children, Tim and Robin Milford of Dahlonega, Carla M. and Craig Yates of Cumming; sisters, Ruby Pirkle of Waycross, Mary Pirkle of Cumming, Diane Buice of Dahlonega; brothers, Jim Hammond of Gainesville, Kenneth Hammond of Cumming; grandchildren, Ferris Gilreath, Ryan Milford, Justin Milford, Lauren Yates, Daniel Yates; great grandchildren, Phoenix Milford, Marley Jean Milford; and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23rd at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ruel Martin, Rev. Dennis Bottoms and Rev. Garry English officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday from 11:00 am until hour of service.
