Barbara Jean Carver

Barbara Jean Carver, age 80, of Cumming, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013. She was a true southern lady who enjoyed life to the fullest. Barbara always had a heart for others in all that she did. She was a huge sports fan with an allegiance to UK Basketball and the University of Georgia. She was surrounded by the best of friends and a loving family. She enjoyed lunch dates, walking, and had a special love for the Lord. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Edwin Carver. Survivors include her children, Brad (Leah) Carver, Cathy (John) Sandberg, Connie Thompson; sister, Isabel (Paul) Oxley; grandchildren, Tara Sandberg, Jenny Sandberg, Lindsey Thompson, Steve Thompson, Ansley Carver. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12th at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Armes officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday from 11:00 am until hour of service.
