Barbara C. Rooks, 74, of Cumming passed away peacefully Monday, March 31, 2025 following a long illness. Barbara was born June 13, 1950 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to the late William Lee Collins, Sr. and Maude I. Key Collins. She worked as an Administrative Assistant in mortgage and finance for 35 years and at First Redeemer Church for over 19 years. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her grandson, Mason McKenzie Cox and a brother, William Lee (Billy) Collins, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Rooks; an amazing son, Jeffrey Dale Cox; 2 handsome grandsons, Elliot and Sam; a beautiful granddaughter, Madison and her brother, Fred Collins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 12, at 11:00 a.m. at First Redeemer Church with Rev. Kevin Richmond, Rev. Mike Schmidt and Dr. Jeff Jackson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church the hour prior to the service.

Flowers are appreciated or you may make donations in her memory to “There’s Hope for the Hungry”, “All In” and “Whispering Hope” at First Redeemer Church, 2100 Peachtree Parkway; Cumming, Georgia 30041.
