God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

Barbara Ann Seitz Shoemake, 76, of Gainesville, GA passed away Monday, November 14, 2022. God gave her the gift of a servant's heart. From a very young age, she was taught by her mother to care for her extended family and those around her in times of need. As a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, she used this gift to serve God and bless others throughout her life. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted wife of 56 years. Barbara enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and lovedcooking her special chocolate pie for her grandchildren. She was blessed to have a unique bond with each of her sisters and spent time making beautiful memories with them. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, C.J. and Marelle Seitz; her brother and his wife, Eugene and Berta Seitz; brother-in-law, Charles Rogers; as well as her precious sister, Brenda Seitz.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Shoemake; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Michael Abernathy; son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Mary Beth Shoemake; grandchildren, Mitchell and Heather Abernathy, Paul and Jamie Abernathy, Carly and Sam Rolph, John Wesley Shoemake, Samuel Shoemake; great-grandchildren, Colton, Austin, Alyssa, Claire, Caleb, Cooper, and Edmund; sistersand brothers-in-law, Sara and Jerry Vernon, Lavonne and Lamar Wheeler, sister, Debbie Rogers; brother, Ricky Seitz.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, at 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Nix, Rev. Garry English, and Rev. William Raines officiating. Mrs.Shoemake will lie in state at the church the hour prior to theservice. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
