Barbara Lynn Sims

Barbara Lynn Sims of Cumming passed away suddenly on July 16, 2024. Born on April 7,1957 in Merrillville Indiana, Barb attended Purdue University and worked as a Medical Technologist before dedicating herself to her true passion of being a full time wife and mother. Being a mother was her greatest joy and she was immensely proud of her children and grand children.

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Jeffrey Sims, her son Michael Sims, daughter Elizabeth Smythe, sister Elizabeth Hanlon, sister-in-law Joyce Huettner and their families.

Barbara was a shining light in this world. She was kind to everyone she met and loved by all who knew her. She loved spending time with her friends and taking care of her grandchildren. Barb touched so many lives in a positive way. We are fortunate to have known her and blessed for her influence on us.
