Barry Lane Kershner

Barry Lane Kershner, age 66, of Cumming, GA, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022. He was born in 1955, to the late J.L. and Lavonne Davis Kershner. Barry was very dedicated member at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Cumming. He was always willing to lend a hand and show the love of Jesus. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Kershner.

He was survived by his loving wife, Becky Garreau; children, Patrick Kershner, Lisa Bailey, Jeffrey Garreau, Kenneth Garreau, and Scott Tyssen; grandchildren, Nathan Bailey, Bella Martinez, Dirk Kershner, Caden Kershner, Shane Kershner, Kinsey Garreau, Madelyn Garreau, Autumn Garreau, Kaylee Garreau, Anthony Garreau, Kayden Garreau, Dalton Tyssen, Evan Tyssen; brothers, John and Angela Kershner, and David Kershner; and in-laws, Bill and Joann Montgomery; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt Calvary Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. with Rev. Ray Gober, Rev. Fred Howard, and Rev. Stephen Lively officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. He will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
