Bascomb John Chadwick

Bascomb John Chadwick, age 86, of Cumming passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Born July 15, 1929 in Cumming, he lived here until he was 17 years old, then went to metro Atlanta, returning here in 1986. Mr. Chadwick retired from AT as a Systems Technician and was a member Friendship Baptist Church and a 50 year Freemason at Tucker Lodge #42 F He is preceded in death by his parents, Bascomb J. and Ophelia Martin Chadwick. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Sue Plumley Chadwick; son, Wayne Chadwick; daughter, Joy Chadwick Irby; sisters, Betty Chadwick Martin, Virginia Chadwick Roper; brother, James Chadwick; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Byrd. Interment, with Masonic Rites, will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
