Beatrice Imogene Harris Haddock, age 90 formerly of Newport News, Virginia, a resident of Forsyth County Georgia, went to be with her Master, Monday, June 22, 2009 at Cumming Nursing Center. She was of the Methodist faith and she and her husband are members of Cumming First United Methodist Church in Cumming, Georgia. In her early married life, she was a devoted mother and home maker; loved dancing, arts and crafts and made her own clothes. She loved socializing, helping others and volunteering her time and talents many times for various activities at the U.S. Air Force Officers Wives Clubs where she and her husband were stationed. After her husband retired, she went to school and got her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate and was immediately employed by the Old Forsyth County Hospital in the ICU department where she worked a number of years before retiring. She was a member of the Georgia Business and Professional Womens Club of Forsyth County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert D. Harris and Edna Kathleen Burton Harris; a sister, Alta Waggoner ; brother, Robert D. Harris Jr. Cherished memories of love and dear devotion will remain with her husband of 70 years, Lawrence T. Haddock, Jr. of Cumming, GA; one son, Lawrence T. Haddock, III of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Mrs. Heidi Moriarty of Atlanta, GA and Casey Haddock of Moorpark, California and great grandchildren, Kevin, Jackson and William Moriarty of Atlanta, GA; aunt, Eleanor Tilghman of Charlottesville, VA; niece, Joyce Schrantz of Carrollton, GA; nephew, John Waggoner , Jr. of Savannah, GA; numerous nices, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26th at 11:00 am Cumming First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Preuss officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday, June 25th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
