Benjamin William Hulsey

Benjamin William Hulsey of Cumming, born March 5, 1928 to Frank and Edna Mae Hulsey, passed peacefully on Friday, January 26, 2018. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Christine Boling Hulsey and granddaughter Grace Gonzales along with four sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his children, Janis (John) Titshaw, Mike (Rose) Hulsey, Kathy (Johnny) Dishroom, and Stacey (Dave) Gonzales, all of Cumming; grandchildren, David (Sarah) Titshaw, Jonathan Titshaw, Ben Titshaw, Nick (Lena) Hulsey, Marisa Gonzales and Grant Gonzales; great grandchildren, Sam and Hannah Titshaw and Charlie and Ellis Hulsey; sister, Mary Lou Joiner, and brothers Frank and Clay Hulsey, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Dot Thomas.

Ben, a member of Brookwood Baptist Church, dearly loved his church family and enjoyed singing praises to his Lord.

He was a member of the Chattahoochee Cutlery Club and was a nationally known custom knife craftsman which allowed him to make lifelong friends across the country.

Ben enjoyed traveling with Christine over all of the continental United States and Canada. Ben loved life and never stopped living it to the fullest. His sense of humor and love of family and friends will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28 from 2:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m., Monday, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Mr. Hulsey will lie in state during visitation at Brookwood Baptist Church from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookwood Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Bennett, Rev. Donnie Nix and Rev. Gerral Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Brookwood Baptist Church cemetery.
