Bernadette Campbell Palermo, age 63, of Johns Creek, Georgia passed away on Tuesday August 24, 2010 at Embracing Hospice. She was born on February 14, 1947 in Lettering, England. Bernadette attended the Rockingham Road Girls School before moving to the United States with her young family in 1972. She lived in the New York metro area until remarrying in 1990 to Phillip Palermo at the Mount Kisco Presbyterian Church on June 16, 1990.

Mr. and Mrs. Palermo moved to Alpharetta in October of 1990 and had lived there since. She was loved within her community for her genteel nature and great sense of humor. She enjoyed jogging in her free time, highlighted by completing the Paris Marathon in April 1997 which raised fund towards cancer research. She was also very active with her three beloved dogs, Sweet Pea, Mouse and Pip Squeak.

She is survived by her husband Phil; three children Mark and Jamie Callahan of Woodbridge, VA, Paul and her husband Rod Burr of Atlanta, Michael Callahan of Venice, CA; grandson Tyler of Waterford, Michigan.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday August 28th, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at St. Benedict Catholic Church on Parsons Road in Johns Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made, in her name, to the Lung Cancer Alliance ( www.lungcanceralliance.org)
