Betty Gilleland Jennings

Betty Gilleland Jennings, 75, Cumming, GA passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening and volunteering at Cumming Nursing Center where her mother resided. She enjoyed talking to her many friends and family on the telephone. Betty was born in Cumming, GA and is preceded in death by her father, Hoyt Gilleland. She was an active member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Oliver Jennings, and her mother Oberene Milford Gilleland, son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Connie Jennings, grandson and wife, Jonathan and Sara Jennings, all of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Doris Ann Vandergriff of Madison GA and several nieces and nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 29, 2015, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday, May 30, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be officiated by Rev. Allen Dixon, Rev. Garry English, Rev. Dennis Bottoms; other pastors will include Rev. Phillip Burt and Rev. Harold Bottoms. Interment will be at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are handled by Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory, Cumming, GA.
