Betty "Joann" Hughes

Betty "Joann" Hughes, age 75, of Cumming, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Newman and Olure Hughes. Survivors include her children, Greg and Lisa Echols of Cumming, Jeff and Paige Grogan of Cumming, Mark and Lisa Grogan of St. Pete Beach, FL, Christy and Brad Shadday of Rome; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry & Shirley Hughes of Cumming; Aunt and Uncle, Betty and Lindbergh Whelchel of Dahlonega; dear friend, Nathan Poole of Cumming; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Wise officiating. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M., Wednesday from 1 P.M. until the hour of the service.
