Betty Kastran Horve, 83, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on June 21, 2023. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 1, 1940 to Louis and Tula Kastran. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tommy and her twin sister Annie.
She is survived by her adoring husband of 62 years, Les Horve, their four children, Debbie (Jim) Strobel, Jeff (Kristen) Horve, Sue (Jim) Middlecamp and Jenny (Matt) Beverly. Surviving grandchildren are Grant, Blake and Marisa Franson, Zack Horve, Aurora and Quincy Middlecamp and Marshall and Calla Beverly.
Betty was known for her zest for life, unique sense of humor and her love for family. She could often be seen cruising the Vegas Strip with her MS VEGAS vanity plates. She loved her late nights at the casinos, “Royals” and “Aces with the Kicker”.
She loved “Christmas in Vegas” and was the most gracious host as her and Les welcomed all their children and grandchildren into their Vegas home. She entertained many family and friends throughout the decades she lived there. She went out of her way to make every holiday a different experience. From piles of gifts, overflowing stockings, abundance of foods, free ice cream coupons, buffet and concert comps, and even a surprise Christmas Morning visit from, (not Santa), but Monkeys, a beer drinking Orangutang and a Black Panther.
Her immediate family will be privately celebrating her life. Betty lived a life that was full and in the words of Frank Sinatra, she most certainly did it her way.
