Betty Ruth Shadburn

On Tuesday, August 22^nd, 2023, Betty Ruth “Granny Shad” Shadburn made the transition to her Heavenly home. She was a member of Beaver Ruin Baptist Church. She loved crosswords and cheering on the Braves with her sweet girl Patty.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Eva Walls, her loving husband, Richard Shadburn, her son, James Marshall Shadburn, and siblings Estus “Bud” Walls, Lloyd Walls, Ed “Buster” Walls, and Louise Harris.

She leaves behind her sister Sue (James) Payne; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lanny (Beverly) and Bobby (Delores) Shadburn, and many nieces & nephews as well as great nieces & nephews. Most importantly, she leaves behind the light of her life – her daughter Patty.

She was an incredible mother, wife, sister, friend, and our beloved “Granny Shad”.

Funeral services for Betty Ruth Shadburn will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ruel Martin, Rev. Todd Skinner, Rev. Sylvester Ridings, and Rev. Roger Shadburn officiating. Interment is to follow at Beaver Ruin Baptist Church Cemetery in Cumming, Georgia. The family of Betty Shadburn will be receiving friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again on Friday, August 25, 2023 from noon until the time of service.
