Beverly Green Kates

Beverly Green Kates, age 68, of Cumming, a native of Waynesville, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013. She was a member of Cumming Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class and the Daughters of the Nile. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmommy. Beverly was 2 time president of the Cumminettes. Survivors include her husband of 50 years Carroll Kates of Cumming; children, Jana Kates of Cumming, Davin and Debbie Kates of Cumming; sisters and brothers, Edith Grant of Waynesville, NC, Margie Lowdermilk of Clyde, NC, Berlin Green of Waynesville, NC; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Alcy and Sue Kates of Waynesville, NC; grandchildren, Tyler Kates, Sarah Kates, Shannon Waters, Casey Stonecypher. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 19th at 1:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Crocker officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday the hour prior to the service.
