Beverly Magbee Gillis

Beverly Magbee Gillis, 87, went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2014 in Marietta, GA.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 26th, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Marietta, 189 Church Street Marietta GA 30060 at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow the service at the church.

"Mimi" was born in Atlanta GA to Sidney and Marie Bradbury on November 30, 1926. She graduated from Presbyterian College in 1949 and taught kindergarten and second grade until she retired in 1987 to keep the first of three grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Reid Gillis, two daughters and their husbands, Missy and Tom Stone, Holly and Tom Pointer, 4 grandchildren; Will and Andrea McEliece, Hannah and Tate Pointer and many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed napping on the screened porch at the lake, having all her grandkids around and volunteering at North Cobb Christian School.
