Bobby Joe Wofford, age 80 of Cumming, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014. He was a member and deacon of Concord Baptist Church. He has served as a Gideon since November 1973 and was instrumental in starting the Forsyth County camp. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bettye Holbrook Wofford. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth Page Harris Wofford of Cumming; his sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Cindy Wofford of Cumming, Ben and Stacie Wofford of Cumming; step son and daughter-in-law, Tony Wayne and Karen Harris of Cumming; sister and brothers-in-law, Shirley Ann and Garland Roberts of Buford, Delores and Larry Evans of Cumming; 4 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; grandchildren, Benson, Savannah, Russell, Sommer, Sarah; step grandchildren, Jason Harris, Christopher and Emilie Harris; step great granddaughter, Bethany. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23rd at 11:00 am at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Rubin Smith, Dr. Jimmy Orr, and Dr. Scott Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Coal Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until hour of the service.
