Bonnie W. Garner, age 84 of Cumming, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012. He was a member of Second Baptist Church Cumming for 50 years and currently serving as the Chairman of the Deacon Board. He also was the Sunday School Superintendant for many years. He was a Corporal in the United States Army serving in Korea as an Army Engineer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Garner; grandson, Kevin Garner; step-son, Charles Edwards; step-daughter, Rachel Jackson; brothers, Nay Garner, James Garner; sister, Latrelle Holtzclaw Survivors include his children, Nelson (Harriette) Garner of Cumming, David Garner of Oxford, Wayne Garner of Dahlonega, Kenneth (Linda) Garner of Cumming; twin sister Bunnie Dishroon; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18th at 4:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Rickett, Rev. Alan Swafford and Rev. Mark Bottoms officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until hour of service.
