Brenda Hayles Hunter, age 76, died on September 21, 2021 at her home in the Celebration Village community. Brenda was known to her close friends and family as simply "B". She was a beautiful Southern Belle with a great sense of humor, a generous spirit, and loved nothing more than family time together, whether it was at home, out shopping, at the beach, or enjoying a dinner out.
She was born in Silver Creek, MS on December 14, 1944 to Doris Nell and M.D. Hayles. She had two younger siblings, Barbara Ann Singleton and Morris Denton "Denny" Hayles, Jr. both of Jackson, MS. After graduating from McComb High School and attending the University of Southern Mississippi, she married Wyatt Raymond Hunter and they moved to the gulf coast. Brenda was a mother to two daughters, was active in the community, and worked as a legal secretary.
In the 1990's, Brenda moved to Atlanta, GA to be closer to her family and worked for a prestigious law firm before joining the North Highland Company as an events planner, from which she retired in the early 2000's. She had a number of adventures during these years, like traveling to Europe with friends and being a loving, devoted grandmother to three.
She is loved and missed by surviving family Hope and Alan Knight, their children Kinsey and Mak Knight, and Faith Hunter Welborn and her son Tolar Welborn, all of the Atlanta area.
