Brett A. Martin

Brett Ashley Martin received his divine healing on July 3, 2024 and is now rejoicing in heaven. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Edwin Martin, Sr. and grandparents Paul T. Martin, Grace Martin, Beler Martin, and Geneva Martin.

Above all Brett loved his family and friends. He was a loyal friend and dedicated to his family. He was a lifelong member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church where he and his bride of 38 years raised their family. He was ordained as a deacon for CMBC on May 16, 2004. He was a proud member of the SVC 27th Georgia Regiment Camp 1404 and served as the Chaplin. 

Brett is survived by his loving wife, Joy, three children- Kale (Marissa) Martin, Kade Martin, Kailyn (Jessie) Ray, four grandchildren- Dylan Martin, Jaden Martin, Jesse Martin, Memphis Ray, and one great-grandson, Hudson Martin-Smith. He is also survived by his mother, Margret Martin, sister Lynn (Nelson) Scarborough, brothers- Eddie (Angie) Martin, Bradley Martin, several nieces and nephews, and numerous other cherished relatives.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Coal Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Martin, and Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 11:00 am until 3 pm, 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm; and Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 10:00 am until 1:30 pm at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
