Brian McCary Parker

On Sunday, January 24, 2021, Brian McCary Parker, a loving husband, and beloved son, passed away. Brian was born on October 19, 1969, in Childersburg, Alabama, to Victor and Terry Parker.

He received a degree from the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences in Tempe, AZ in 1996. Shortly after, he married the love of his life, Jennifer.

Brian landed his dream job working as the Chief Engineer at Triclops Sound Studios in the '90s, before opening his own recording studio. Arsis Music Productions was a labor of love and he produced albums for several Atlanta bands before moving to California in 2008.

Brian had a passion for audio. He had the ability to draw out the best performance in a musician with what he liked to call "polite but firm". He was always appreciated for it. Brian also worked as an installer for complex A/V installations. He was brilliant with electronics.

Brian loved the outdoors, taking several cross-country road trips with Jennifer. They could often be found blazing a trail and setting up a tent in the middle of nowhere.

Diagnosed with ALS in 2011, he didn't let it get him down and was an inspiration to anyone who knew him. Once completely paralyzed, he continued to create both art and music with the only thing he was able to move, his eyes.

He was known for his quick wit, his contagious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. A friend in need had a friend in Brian. He loved life and lived it to the fullest until the day he died.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Willamson, his father, Victor, his mother, Terry, and his brother, Mark. Also left behind are his brother-in-law, Joseph, two nephews, Will and Gaines, and a boatload of people who loved him. Brian was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Vera Augusta Brown and Alonzo Victor Parker. and his maternal grandparents, Derotha Hill and Clyde McCary Pate.

Virtual arrangements are being planned, with in-person celebrations of life to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the family's gofundme, or make a donation to ALS causes in Brian's honor at ALSTDI.net or iamals.org.

Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia in charge of arrangements.
