Celebration of Life for Brian Clark Skelton of Canton, GA will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 4:00 at Cherokee Baptist Church on Hickory Flat Hwy. in Woodstock, GA. Pastors Kevin Edmunds and Richard Holden will officiate the service.
Mr. Skelton is survived by his wife, Jane, his daughter Katie Henley and son-in-law Jeff Henley of Canton, his son Brent Skelton of Nashville, TN and his fiance Laura Cockrell of Memphis, TN, brothers Joe Skelton of Canton and Stuart Skelton of Lawrenceville, and sister Beth Bryan of Rome, GA, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol and Nick Hobbs of Woodstock, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. A committed Christian, Mr. Skelton faithfully served in his church. After bravely fighting ALS, he went home to be with his Lord in the early hours of November 2, 2009. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. The family suggests memorial donations to Embracing Hospice in Cumming or to his beloved church.
