Burma Gibson, age 84, of Burma Road, Cumming, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010. Mrs. Gibson was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church of Forsyth County. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Gibson and her son Morris Gibson. Burma was best known for her fried chicken. She loved riding her tractor and keeping up with the latest. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Hamby of Cumming, GA; son and daughter in law Dennis and Kay Gibson of Cumming; daughter and son in law, Trentha and Michael Shoemake of Cumming; son and daughter in law, Jerry and DeLynn Gibson of Cumming; several sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; 17 grand children; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Wilkie; Rev. Ruel Martin; Rev. Bud Sutton and Rev. Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment to follow in Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 5:00p.m. 9:00 p.m. Monday, the 20th from 9:00 a.m. 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Services. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
