Carl E. Ary Jr

Carl E. Ary, Jr., 76, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 in Cumming, GA. Carl was born on Easter Sunday, April 12, 1936 in Green Valley, IL to Carl E. Ary, Sr. and Julia Cannon Ary. He graduated from Green Valley High School in 1954. He served in the U. S. Army from 1959 to 1961 (Reserve 2 years) and was honorably discharged. Carl married Eleanore Mauser on September 16, 1961, in Peoria, IL. Carl retired from the U. S. Postal Service in January 1999 after 36 years of service. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, James Ary, a sister, Mary Ary Knox and an infant son, Stephen Anthony Ary. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Eleanore (Ellie) Ary. Two daughters, Susan Womick (David) of Roswell, GA and Debra Johnson (Jeffrey) of Cumming, GA. Four granddaughters, Catherine and Anna Womick of Roswell, GA; Sara and Amanda Johnson of Cumming, GA. Also surviving is a sister, Lois Ford of Hopedale, IL a brother, Dale Ary of Pekin, IL and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral mass will be held Monday, April 8th at 11:00 am at St. Brendan's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
