Carl Eugene "Gene" Swafford

Carl Eugene "Gene" Swafford, age 70 of Cumming, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Mr. Swafford was a U.S. Army veteran and proud receiptant of the Bronze Star for his service to his country in Vietnam. He was active in the N.R.A., Former President of the Atlanta Bass Club and BASSMASTER CHAMPION. Mr. Swafford was a construction superintendent for APAC Construction before his retirement. Gene was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. Mr. Swafford is survived by his wife Maggie Swafford of Cumming, GA. and his daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Danny Nix of Punta Gorda, FL. Grandchildren Kaydee Wyatt and Riley Nix. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel .
