Carlene Ruth Burt Anderson

Carlene Ruth Burt Anderson passed away peacefully November 28, 2022 in Cumming. She was born in Dawsonville August 3, 1928. She was always the caretaker to her siblings, parents, children, and grandchildren. She was always more than ready to offer anyone a plate.

Carlene married the late Grover Anderson and together they had three children. Their home place on Post Road included Carlene’s orchard with many apple trees and a pasture for cows, chickens and more. She decided to sell the property and move to her dream home on the mountain where she was able to house her family comfortably. She was always happy to have company and enjoyed working in her garden and preparing meals of fresh veggies, biscuits, and cornbread.

Carlene loved her family unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with her sisters and brother. She adored children and was caretaker to many including her own children and grandchildren. Carlene was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Burt, Artie Mae Bearden Burt, her Sister Betty Jo Mooney, and Brother Charles Burt.

She is survived by her three sons and seven grandchildren Daniel (Cindy) Anderson of Milledgeville Ga. Jerry (Michelle) Anderson of Gallatin TN and Marvin (May) Anderson or Orlando FL. Her Grandchildren Ricky, Shannon, Christopher, Chase, Jake, Bodie and Katty. sisters Wanda Mauldin, Joan Henderson, and Frida Talley.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sawnee View Gardens with The Rev. T.R. Myers officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
