Carrie "Monteen" Thomason

Carrie "Monteen" Thomason, age 97, of Cumming, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013. Monteen was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dillard Thomason; son, J.D. Thomason; brothers, Roy Bennett, Doyle Bennett and sister, Irene Buice. Survivors include her grandchildren, Karen (Mickey) Wheeler of Ellijay, Russell Thomason of Ellijay, Will (Valerie) Thomason of Atlanta; great grandchildren, Dillon and Jake Wheeler, Drew Thomason; daughter-in-law, Reta Thomason of Ellijay; brother and sister-in-law, Lane and Lelia Bennett of Gainesville; sister-in-law, Lona Thomason of Cumming and several other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Reverend Monroe Gunter, Reverend Harold Evans and Reverend Brody Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, from 5 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church.
