Carroll John "C.J." Ver Steeg

Carroll John Ver Steeg (C.J.), age 76, of Cumming also of New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013. He was a graduate of Hobart College in Geneva, NY. C.J. was a wonderful family man, devoted father and husband, married for 55 years. He was an avid competitive sportsman. C.J. seized the potential of every day, living life to the fullest. He was an active member of the Episcopal Church of The Holy Spirit in Cumming. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Carol J. Ver Steeg; children, Glenn (Leah) Ver Steeg, Bill (Sheila) Ver Steeg, Jon (Katherine) Ver Steeg, Kim Ver Steeg Spiezio; brother, Paul L. (Christine) Ver Steeg, grandchildren, Ashley Ver Steeg, Paul Ver Steeg, Matt Ver Steeg, Chris Ver Steeg, Lauren Spiezio, Zack Spiezio, Sydney Ver Steeg, Emily Ver Steeg, Jordan Ver Steeg. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday August 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of The Holy Spirit with Father Keith Oglesby officiating. A reception will follow after the service.
