Catherine Phillips

Catherine McGinnis Phillips of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on Sunday,
April 6, 2014 at Gateway Nursing Home. She was 93.

Mrs. Phillips was born on October 6, 1920 in Atlanta to Maggie Parr
McGinnis and Charles Arthur McGinnis. She lived most of her life in Atlanta
and Forest Park, where she and her husband of 65 years, Marion Francis
Phillips, raised their three children. In 2006, she moved to Cleveland to
live near her son.

Mrs. Phillips is preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and Charlie
McGinnis; her husband, Marion; her son, Thomas Marion Phillips; her
brothers, Junior McGinnis and Philip McGinnis; and her sisters, Lucille
Langford and Gladys Daniel.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Debbie Phillips
of Cleveland; daughter, Brenda Gravitt Dunagan of Woodstock; grandchildren,
Lisa and David Dibble of Decatur, Laura and Clay Farmer of Woodstock, Brett
Gravitt of Atlanta, and Genny Phillips of Cleveland; and three
great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Episcopal Church of the
Resurrection in Sautee, Georgia on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 5:00 pm.
