Cathy McGinley

Cathy McGinley, age 79, of Cumming, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. Cathy was a graduate of Germantown High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She loved working with children and worked as a substitute teacher and in the front office of Buckingham Elementary School in Buckingham, Pennsylvania. Cathy was also a substitute teacher at various Forsyth County elementary schools. She was the first President of the Forsyth County Newcomer Womens Club, an organization for new female residents of Forsyth County.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James McGinley, and her parents, Joseph and Catherine Reilley. Cathy is survived by her son James McGinley and wife, Connie McGinley; daughter Patricia Fairley; son Michael McGinley; and son David McGinley and wife Ashley McGinley; grandchildren Brittany and Kyle McGinley, Devin, Austin and Colin Fairley, Anna, Will and Patrick McGinley.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia, followed by a service celebrating her life at 4:00 pm at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel.
